For several decades sam has been concentrating on modern design and technology for the bathroom. Our guiding principle has always been to ensure quality, longevity and the highest practical use of our products.

The basis of today’s market position is a consistent design concept with conclusive product philosophies. These are implemented using our own development and production competencies at the two locations of Leipzig and Menden (Sauerland) in Germany. Bathroom accessories initially took the lead, but in the following decades sam’s product range was expanded continuously. In the 1970s, bathroom mirrors were added to the product programme of the medium-sized family company, which, together with our cosmetic mirrors, are still an important part of the sam range, drawing attention again and again due to their innovative concepts and fascinating design.

The take-over of the “Sächsische Armaturenfabrik” (SAF Armaturen GmbH, Leipzig) in 1996 introduced another vital element of what sam is today. Since the addition of the Leipzig plant with its more than one hundred years of tradition and competence in the development and production of taps, we are able to offer perfectly harmonised bathroom accessories and taps from one source sharing not only design language but quality standards.
